Description: Wanchai is best known for its girly bars, ‘proper’ pubs and some very decent live music. The local scene centres round The Wanch, a fairly grimy bar, which hosts some of the most rocking music in town. Their Myspace site lists all the up and coming shows, in which you are certain to find something with a beat you like.
Each night hosts a different crowd so it is perfect for a sense of integration in the real people’s Hong Kong. At over 20-years-old, this is a true institution, and happily, just down the road from Sabah, one of our recommended Malaysian restaurants.
