What do you get if you cross Melbourne with Tokyo? Robot, apparently, is the answer. Located in Bligh Place off Flinders Lane, this cute Japanese-themed bar features a huge range of sake and Japanese beers. But this is not the place to come for a traditional Japanese experience – think robots rather than geishas.
The décor here is bright and contemporary, with a robot theme running throughout the bar. The whole place a matchbox-sized; downstairs is the bar and a small seating area, and upstairs is another small area in which to squeeze. Robot is open every day except Sundays, and cocktails are around the $12 mark.
