The concept behind The Apartment was to create a bar/restaurant that feels like an extension of your own home. The fact that very few people live in an apartment that looks anything like The Apartment in Little Bourke St is, perhaps, a bit of a clue as to the sort of vibe that this swanky place has going on – and the kind of clientele it attracts.
The Apartment is a restaurant by day (lunch is available from noon to 3pm, Tuesday to Friday) and a lounge bar by night. On Saturdays, it turns into a nightclub from 8pm onwards. There’s a small choice of bar snacks available, and all cocktails are $16 except on Thursdays when they’re $8 a pop.
