A Minor Place

A Minor PlaceA Minor Place it may be, but this café has built up a major name for itself in Brunswick and beyond. Located in a fairly random spot on Albion St (it’s a good five minute walk from Sydney Rd), A Minor Place is one of those cafés that tempts you to pull up a chair, order a coffee, spread out a newspaper and stay till closing time. The light-filled interior, with its wooden walls, large communal tables and minimalist décor, is reminiscent of Scandinavia.

Outside on the pavement are more tables, together with milk-crates-and-pillows seating. The coffees here are excellent, and the food is delish. Meals are around the $10–$15 mark, with biscuits, muffins and other sweets priced from $2–$8. To top it all off, A Minor Place is licensed, making this a great place to stop for a cold beer on a warm day.
