Fandango

Fandango Slowly but surely, North Melbourne is building its coffee cred. In fact, it’s becoming one of Melbourne’s best caffeine stops. There is a small but very decent crop of cafés – both old and new – in the area, which so far has managed to avoid the ultra trendy, pretentious vibe of some other parts of Melbourne. One of the suburb’s established cafés is Fandango, a much-loved coffee shop in Errol St.

The café itself is small and plain, with a similarly small seating area out the back. Fandango doesn’t attract with bells and whistles; rather, it relies on its great coffee to bring in the crowds. There’s a range of reasonably priced food on offer, including toasted sandwiches and wraps for $7¬–$8. Good value in a relaxed setting.
