The Hotel Windsor was established in 1883 and is one of Australia’s top luxury grand hotels. Everything about the hotel screams opulence and lavish comfort, from the top-hat wearing doorman to the chandelier-hung ceilings. You can wander in to the restaurant for a coffee or you can stay for lunch or dinner.
Meals here are priced as you would expect – entrees are around $22 and mains cost about $36. Alternately, you can swan in to The Windsor for their famous Afternoon Tea (3pm–5pm), where you can pick from a silver three-tiered pastry stand filled with scones, sandwiches and pastries, and sup on sparkling wine, tea and coffee. Spanking good fun.
