The Mill restaurant and bar in Hardware Lane is a relatively new addition to this busy area, but it has carved out a name for itself as one of the lane’s better eateries. The polished wooden floors, the saffron yellow or bare brick walls, and the unclothed tables give this place a classy yet casual feel.
The food here is contemporary Australian, with a la carte entrées ranging from $3.50 to $16 and mains from $16 to $39. Alternately, you can go for the set menus – $50 for two courses or $60 for three courses. There’s live jazz here every Sunday from 6.30pm with no cover charge, making this a nice spot to chill out with drink or a meal to finish off the week.
