If you’re looking for an easy way see inner-city Melbourne, jump on the maroon-coloured City Circle tram (number 35), which loops the CBD. This free tram will take you past many of Melbourne’s landmarks and attractions, including Flinders St Station, Federation Square, Melbourne Aquarium, Etihad Stadium, Flagstaff Gardens, the Old Melbourne Gaol, the State Library of Victoria, Carlton Gardens, Parliament House and the Treasury Gardens.
It runs along Flinders St, the Harbour Esplanade, La Trobe St, briefly along Victoria St and down Spring St. The tram operates from 10am to 6pm on Sunday to Wednesday, and from 9am to 10pm on Thursday to Saturday.
