You know summer has finally hit Melbourne when the Suzuki Night Market opens for business. Housed beneath the Queen Victoria Market roofs, the Night Market is open every Wednesday evening from 5.30pm to 10pm and features food stalls, live music and a range of market stands selling various goodies.
Here you can buy anything from clothes to hammocks to artworks to kangaroo burgers, or you can commission your comic portrait to be drawn. The market is always bustling – it’s a summer evening magnet for travellers and locals alike – and it’s open from late November through to late February. Entry is free.
