The Deanery

The DeaneryIn a converted disused car park at the end of Bligh Place you’ll find The Deanery, a swanky bar/restaurant/wine storage facility that’s as much about good wine as it is about good food. With entrées around $20 and mains around $40, this is a place frequented by mature clientele with money to spend.

The venue is well-designed with warm, muted tones – the hanging wine bottle chandelier over the bar is a nice touch. The wait staff here are excellent, with good knowledge about both the food and the wine they serve. At The Deanery you can either order from the a la carte menu or go for the seven-course degustation menu priced at $95, or $160 with wines to match.
