The Esplanade Market – St Kilda

The Esplanade Market – St Kilda There’s something intrinsically enjoyable about a market, but a market in a beautiful location is almost irresistible. Since 1970, Victoria artists have set up shop along The Esplanade overlooking Port Phillip Bay. Now with 200 stalls side by side from Covell Street next to Luna Park, to Fitzroy Street, you can poke around all day long. Stop to refuel at one of the many cafes close by and comeback for more.

This is the market to find original gifts for that special someone, and for yourself. How about in an original handbag made from re-cycled materials, or a one of a kind piece of glass jewellery. From pottery to paintings, and woodwork to puppets, the artists have got it covered and are happy to talk about their creative process. From the city, go south on the 16 or 96 tramlines and hop off on The Esplanade. Open Sundays from 8:30 to 5pm.
